Start from your product, not from a list. A US clothing manufacturer fits when it already sews your product category, takes your quantity per style, can sample in your fabric and can label the garment correctly. Check these six things before you email anyone.
Factories specialise. A knit shop that sews tees is not the one for jeans or tailored jackets. Shortlist only factories that already make your category: Los Angeles leads on cut and sew, denim and knits, New York on sampling and wovens, the Carolinas on knit fabric, fleece and socks.
US minimums vary by factory and product, and a stated minimum is often per style and colorway. Ask which it is before you budget. In our group the minimum is 100 pieces per style in every product family (socks: 100 pairs).
Plan 2–4 weeks for a first sample from a complete tech pack, then a fit session and sign-off. Factories quote much tighter from a tech pack than from a photo.
A plain “Made in USA” label needs US-made fabric as well as US cutting and sewing. Cut and sewn here from imported fabric, the FTC requires “Made in USA of imported fabric”. Ask for the fabric origin on every quote.
The factory price per unit is higher than importing. Compare the delivered cost: no ocean freight, no customs entry on finished garments, ground shipping in 1–5 days and smaller runs you can reorder.
Every US factory is a drive or a domestic flight away. Visiting at sampling or during bulk is the fastest way to check fit and workmanship.
Eight product families, all from 100 pieces per style. Each page covers the styles, fabrics, best hub and “Made in USA” label wording for that product.

US apparel production is concentrated in three hubs, and our group works in all of them. Pick the hub that already makes your product; the brief tells us which one fits.

Cut and sew, denim and washes, knits and activewear. The largest US apparel cluster.

Only if all or virtually all of the garment is made here, which for clothing means US-made fabric as well as US cutting and sewing. If it is cut and sewn here from imported fabric, the FTC rules require “Made in USA of imported fabric”, or the country named. We check your label and listing wording before the first bulk run.
Not on garments made here. Nothing crosses a border, so there is no customs entry on your finished stock. If the fabric is imported, duty is paid when that fabric comes in, and the mill or factory normally builds it into their price.
Sending a brief is free. After we read it, we quote our fee in writing before any work starts, and it is never tied to your order size. We take no commission from factories, and the factory bills you directly for production.
